Q: Do I need a valid passport to get started?

A: Yes, you must have a valid passport to apply.

Q: I am in school, can I still apply?

A: Yes, you can. In fact, it is an advantage to be enrolled in school at the time of your ​application process.

Q: I just started a new job, can I still apply?

A: Yes, you can. However, it is recommended to be in your job for atleast 1 year for a more favourable outcome. ​There is a yes to this answer because you may have other factors that can still produce favourable outcome.

Q: Do I need an invitation letter from my sponsor in the US?

A: This is actually an optional document, however, we strongly recommend having one to take to the interview. It is ​better to be safe than sorry!

Q: Can I apply for a work permit and visiting Visa at the same time?

A: Big NO! I strongly recommend completing the US visiting visa process before even attempting to apply for the ​work permit. However, if you already have a US work permit, you can go ahead and apply for the visiting visa ​afterwards. Just do not do them together or do the work permit before you acquire the visiting visa.

Q: Does XsKape Visa Services assist with work permits?

A: Unfortunately, we do not. We only assist with visiting visas, student visas, crewmember and transit visas. This ​applies to all countries we currently process visas for.

Q: I started the processing on my own at first but I am not sure what to do next, can I hire you to finish up my application ​processing and to guide me the rest of the way?

Q: Can you apply for my child’s passport?

A: We would not be able to apply for your child’s passport. We only assist with adult passport RENEWALS. Your last ​passport must have been issued when you were 18+ for it to be considered an ADULT passport renewal.

Q: I have a business that is registered, can I apply?

A: Yes, as long your business has proof of income coming in and you can present a bank statement, then you are ​good to go! If your business is not registered or there is no proof of your business legitimacy, we recommend using ​another option.

Q: How can I make payment?

A: We have three options of payment and will add more soon. Options currently include:

  • Online Bank Transfer to an NCB account
  • Xoom (for US Sponsor who are paying on behalf of applicant)
  • Cash Dropoff in Portmore (Passage Fort) & Kingston 5 (Cross Roads)

Q: Do you assist with visa renewals?

A: Yes, we assist with visa renewals as well!

Q: I have a visa but I want to apply for my child under the age of 14, can I?

A: Yes, you can definitely apply for your child under the age of 14. If you child is 14 and above, you will be required ​to accompany your child to the US Embassy to complete an interview.

Q: I don’t have a visa but I wish to apply for my child’s visa only?

A: Whilst this is possible, we strongly recommend against it. It is best to go as a family or ​one parent should have a valid US Visa.

Q: Do I have to visit a friend or family member?

A: No, you can definitely book a hotel or other accommodations.

Q: How long does my visa permit me to stay in the country?

A: Some visas are issued conditionally so you would stick to the conditions of the visa once you get it back and you see ​what the conditions are, however, most are issued at 10 years like the US visiting visa. For certain visas you can stay up ​to 6 months, however, it is recommended to never exceed 3 months. This is a bit more complex as it is really dependent ​on the type of visa you are applying for, how long the Embassy approved it for as well as what the CBP stamps in the ​passport upon arrival in the foreign country.
